: Gorgeous little craft, John. Looks like the rolling bevel at the stems, the

Hi Pete,

The rolling bevel at the stems came out fine but it was scary at the time. The gap at the deck/haul joint is still there when I take the ratchet straps off for a while to sand, so when I fiberglass I will put the straps back on to hold it into place while it is still green and cures. My plans are exciting for me. I am going solo into the BWCA in MN. in Aug. and spend two or three weeks just doing my own survival thing and living patially off the land, cattals, fish, etc. I will just take energy bars, nuts and trail mix with me to keep the weight down for my portages. I'm taking a GPS incase I really get lost. But building the boat and doing this at my age is more fun then something else I vaguely remember.
