I think the beam was about 22 inches. I made a jig with poster board or something so I could draw shortened forms from the offsets in the book. I made measurements full size but picked a horizontal line something like 26 or 28 (30?) inches off the bottom and had all the forms end there. Then the forms line up nicely on a strongback.

Dacron sounds good to me. Canvas ain't so cheap either.

Definitely can't do it with Tyvek, trust me.

Maybe someone else has a light cheap skin they've used. I thought just maybe just a layer of glass pulled tight and filled but seems to defeat the benefits of a flexible frame, but it could be pretty light

Maybe one of them has built one stripper, it's been discussed but I missed whether there was any conclusion.
