In that case Lee Valley makes a minature
: gouge with a 1/4" dia. It takes a little practice to guide the gouge
: with a finger down the center of the strip, but gets pretty fast after

The 6mm #11 gouge - 44D10.60 $5.75.

Support the strip you're cutting from below with another strip so yu can cut to the tip without breaking it.
