I built a Mill Creek 13 from luan.
I did have some trouble with the deck, but it worked out okay in the end.
I think it pushes the limit of luan's flexibility, though.

I now use okoume, and I think it is worth the extra cost.
If I were to build the boat again, I would most definately use okoume.
That said, though, the boat turned out quite nicely anyways.
I've used it for about four years without problems.
