In Response To: sander justification (Matt Britschgi)

I went through the same thing. My regular palm sander would do, right?

I sanded, and sanded, and sanded.

My neighbor (who was probably sick of hearing my sander going for hours on end) brought over a random orbital sander. Nirvana. It made such short work of the remainder of the sanding.

Of all the tools I now own, my random orbital sander has a place of honor. The time you save is well worth the price, and if you love sanding and want to take all week, month, year, do it by hand!
