I've never liked 5-min epoxy. It is OK for a quick temporary repair, but for permanent things, don't bother. Even if it works initially it seems to weaken quickly and come pealing off. Use the same epoxy you used to wet out the cloth. It is better in just about all respects except the speed at which it cures.
