Sigh...George C... David Zimmerly was employed by the National Museum of CANADA for 11 years and in that time researched and studied kayaks. The excellent book "Qajaq" was sponsored by the Alaska State Museum which has never employed Zimmerly to my knowledge.

David Zimmerly has done much to popularize Inuit kayaks and rightly so , though one should know that other serious kayak/ Inuit specialists are responsible for a fair amount of what Zimmerly has included in his work. This is not always properly recognized.

The long awaited 'Arctic Kayaks' is hopefully to be released this year authored by Eugene Arima and John Heath.

Now back to arctickayaks.com to drool some more.
