Another good source for plans of a variety of skin boats with offsets is "the Little Kayak Book" by John Brand. Well worth the effort to find a copy. The plans for the British Museum baidarka are particularly interesting. I visited him in England in the early 80's and also had the opportunity to see the original boat in the museum warehouse. It was my first skin on frame boat and is still my favourite.
