Arthur,
The wood I got was pretty good. I'm new to this so I don't really know what to expect from Cedar as far as color variations. There was a variety of color variations so I just tried to blend them as I went along. I too am going to use the System III epoxy.

suggests running a piece of masking tape underneath and the cutting along

the edge when the glass is "green" to create a clean edge.

When you say green, do you mean right after the glass is coated or when it becomes somewhat leathery?

Thanks for the tips and good luck with the deck. Let me know how everything comes out after you flip the boat.
