as it's far too easy to get carried away with the fancy details, what would we more need - and benefit more from - than the occasional remainder concerning the basics? Keeping things simple is often the best if not the only way for one to keep from tripping over one's own cleverness. And so hard to do.

thanks for additionally pointing out the different effects of blade vs. edge thickness. I'll make a note to check this out separately for each, in several steps.
