I've got a cheap Black and Decker ROS. It's got a dust bag that doubles as a vaccuum tube pickup. I've had no problems with it, now that I've finally gotten back to work on the CLC 17LT.

The key, IMHO is to save money on the sander and pile the cash into sandpaper sheets. I've been changing out every foot and a half on the hull, and keeping the paper sharp really makes sanding much easier.

So there is the alternative to save cash on the hardware and blow it on the paper.
