Brandon and Heather,

Congratulations!!!! I'm glad it went well and your safe and sound. Sure sounds like the trip of a lifetime. When you were describing your intentions on the board before your trip I was more than a little envious. You'll have to fill us in on the details and post some pics.

Still a little green,

Ken

: Heather and I just finished our Canada to Cabo expedition, which involved
: 3500 miles of mountain biking and a thousand mile paddle from San Felipe
: to Cabo San Lucas. We used the Chesapeake 18 and the Arctic Tern, and let
: me tell you they did AWESOME! The paddle took 72 days through some of the
: most unstable weather the Sea of Cortez has seen in quite a while. We
: really put the boats to the test with loading, dragging, rock landings and
: launchings, the works. Other than adding a bit of cloth to the hulls
: around mile 500, we didn't have a single problem. We couldn't be more
: pleased!
