Rehd,

A little off topic but I thought this was interesting. The idea of a tooth flying off a blade is pretty scary. I decided to crunch some numbers. (everyone feel free to call me a geek, don't worry I took my paxil this morning. (See post from Sigmond Freud)) The results supprised me. For a 10" saw at 3500 rpm, assuming a single carbide tooth weighs 10-15gr (don't know, just a guess), it only has about .5-.75ft/lbs of energy and is moving at 153ft/sec. Maybe I did something wrong but this is pretty small. It supprised me. Somebody out there check the numbers 'cause like I said, I was supprised.
