Hey Tom

Don't write off a company for one bad blade. I have ordered/purchased a dozen bandsaw blades at one time, saw them all cut off the same roll of blade-stock and welded by the same guy ( I was standing there watching him do it ) and two of the blades came out bad......no set on one side of the teeth. It was just a bad section in the roll. ??? It happens. If the blade doesn't cut up to par, you can probably get your money back. Most companies realize there are bad eggs every now and then.

I use mostly Sears carbide blades and with over 12 on my shelf and a couple of worn out ones gone, I have only found one bad blade, missing a tooth. The rest of the blades all have performed as advertized. I don't stop buying then because of the one bad one, I just look at them a little closer now.

One thing I've noticed about the cheaper blades ( carbide ) is the welds around the carbide itself. Watch for Pits or gaps in the weld. One of those teeth comes off while turning around ???rpm???, whatever they turn at, and it's like a .22 going off in the shop. Food for Thought.
