I have been following this thread, and I completely agree - perfectly fitted strips will not only produce a superior hull, it will be stronger, much less likely to get bubbles in the fiber glass due to no air trapped in poor joints, and reduce fairing to the pleasant task of knocking the ridges off at the strip joints. Gaps between strips are eliminated, as are the fills required to correct them. I do use a selection of scrapers, and find they do the job just fine when properly sharpened and used. - John
