: I used the Bearboat(Mariner Kayaks)program to design the kayak I'm building
: now. It allows you to print out section forms using 8x11 paper then you
: tape them together to get full size forms. Watch for bugs when printing,
: if you find one, the designer will be very helpfull in correcting it. You
: do have to loft the end forms but I found this to be easy. I am very happy
: with the program and have two more yaks and a canoe I plan to build.

I did have one cross section that wouldn't print out the haul full size but would do so in a 1/5 verson. I lofted from that to get the correct shape. The bow and stern internal stems can not be printed in full size but show up in your side view. I took a close up picture of them using a digital camera and and blew them up on the computer and they came out OK. I did have to change the stern stem section some because it didn't fair very well. The program is fun to play with.
