If we all liked vanila there would be no chocolate. What you plan to do with it has a lot to do with what type you should look at. Are you going day cruising or will you take it on extended trips? do you want speed or stability, will you be fishing out of it or playing in the surf? how tall are you, what do you weigh, do you have a size 13 shoe, these will make a difference too? Have you decided on a stich and glue or a strip built? I hope this doesn't come across as silly but these were all questions I had to answer to choose a kayak. I wound up with a Mill Creek from Chesepeake Light Craft. I will be fishing on inland lakes with this one. their site is linked below. what ever you choose the project is rewarding. have fun -dave
