: When in the process did you use the alcohol? As soon as the epoxy was on? Or
: did you wait a while? How long?

We flipped the alcohol on right away before it could thicken so the bubbles could rise to the top and burst. We were using a thick blue surface epoxy coat and this worked great, so the thin coat you are using should really work well. But, do some test strips first to besure it doesn't effect anything, especially your transparency. The blue surface coat we were using (Ren 3260) was the hardest epoxy I ever saw. It had a tungsten filling and if you drilled it only once with a high speed drill, the drill was rounded over. Only carbon tiped drills could be used.
