Using the spreaders works well. Any curl that does get in can be fixed when you glass the inside, by putting the spreaders in while the epoxy/glass sets up. Be sure to tape off the ends...

My Spring Run had quite a bit of curl in the deck, and after the inner glass set up completely and I removed the spreaders, it was less than 1/4" at the sheer. A little creative clamping when joining the two, and no problem.

: I am getting closer to finishing the stripping of the hull (Return). Joe
: Greenley instructions call for fiberglassing the outside of the hull first
: and then to strip the deck. Stripping the deck will take me somewhere
: between 2 weeks to 4 weeks. I am concered that I run into the curling
: problem due to moisture changes - I am working in garage. Tom Moore
: suggests the same, while Nick strips the entire boat.

: I am planning on putting the forms back in, when I don't work on the boat.

: Are there any thoughts on what the safest way to avoid curling problems. With
: fiberglass on one side, the hull won't be able to equalize any more.

: Andreas
