Stop trying to invent the wheel. Find a copy of Contributions to Kayak Studies edited by E.Y. Arima. It is listed as Mercury Series Paper 122 by the Canadian Museum of Civilization and has papers by several authors covering divided keels, bifurcated bows, modern research etc. as well as corrected plans and offsets for several original aleut boats. Good luck, Baidarka replicas are fun to paddle.
