Thank you for the illuminating and informative review! I particularly enjoyed reading the trip report, as it gave your assesments a usefull context.

The more that I paddle, the more that I think that most boaters use kayaks that are too big for them. While a larger boat may have more storage, a dryer ride and top speed potential, they are usually heavier, slower to turn, surf poorly and have more drag.

Pygmy looks to be the first wood boat outfit to recognize the inherent vitues of the Coaster concept.
