Note that Rob does not use an internal strongback like I do, so the forms are free to move when he pounds on them. This technique may not be practical with my internal strongback. You may be able to use the internal strong back if you tack the forms to it with hotmelt so they can break away from it as well.

: He releases the forms from the hotglue with a sharp hit from a rubber mallet.
: (I am serious) A screwdriver held between the deck and hull and hit
: sharply with a mallet (towards the center of the boat not towards the
: narrower ends) should do the trick. Be careful not to use too much yellow
: glue when gluing the strips to each other or it will ooze out and glue
: your boat to the forms (the forms have NO wax, tape or anything else to
: prevent this from happening because the hotglue needs to stick to it) Rob
: said that a little yellow glue bleedout is ok but I'd be very careful!

: He uses the yellow glue sticks specifically meant for wood and used only a
: SMALL dab at that. The more glue you use the more difficult it is to
: release.
