: Does anybody know any websites that offer plans for or deal with strip-built
: fishing boats? I owe the wife after my current Walrus is complete. The
: only site I've found is Compumarine. Thanks, Tom

Several designs have been mentioned in this thread --- the Cosine Wherry, the Rangeley Lake boat and the Adirondack Guideboat --- but no comments were made as to their relative seaworthiness. I know the Guideboat is fast and capable of handling rough water, as it does very well in open ocean racing. I have not come across any references as to how well the Wherry or the Rangeley do when the wind and waves kick up.

For me, getting back when the weather turns bad is a redeeming feature. Can anyone shed some light on this aspect of the comparison between these three boats?

thanks,

Chris Luneski
