: I installed pygmys thigh braces but they are too small

Pete,

Which one of Pygmy's thigh braces do you have? Pygmy has two different thigh braces, one that glues underneath the deck and coaming (fairly inneffective except for large people I think), and a much more aggressive one supported by a piece of plywood that sticks out into the cockpit opening effectively keyholing the shape of the cockpit opening. I have the latter in both of my Pygmy's and my fairly small wife is securely locked in. They also allow your knees to be closer to the centerline which I find much more comfortable in long periods of paddling. Properly installed, I cannot imagine them not working for most people. Of course you do not have to use Pygmy's. With a little dilligence you can make your own with some wood and minicell foam.
