If you're unsure about you building skills a class is a great way to go. I built two CLC boats (Cape Charles & Patuxent) in classes Chris Kulczycki teaches at WoodenBoat School in Brooklin, Maine. I've also taken Ted Moores' class in strip building at the same school. They also offer a class in skin-on-frame some years, taught by Bruce Lemon. More in your area is Mark Rogers, who teaches classes in skin-on-frame construction and builds stitch-and-glue boats commercially.
