~4 weeks ago, just after completion, I put my kayak on display in the atrium at work (Johnson Controls automotive interiors -- we do door panels, headliners, seats, etc.) A guy who builds nice cedar strip kayaks and models often puts his stuff on the pad here where normally cars are put on display. It got lots of oohs and aahs, especially from the designers from the studios. Regardless of whether they knew anything about kayaking, they love the lines of the boat. One idjit, though, would have knocked it off the stands, had a friend of mine not been there to catch it. The guy's comment, after reading the specs sheet that was in the cockpit, was "400 hours, huh? Good thing I didn't knock it on the floor..."
