I used 1-1/2" strips on the deck of a Tred Avon. 3/4 would have been easier to fair. The deck radius is 18".

: also have some boards 1.25" thick that would make great strips for
: the hull in areas where there is minimal bending required.

: What is the widest any of you out there have used? The strips will be
: 1/4" thick to start with, but I will probably run them through my
: planer to get rid of the saw marks and the end thickness will be right
