I have cut quite a few 3/4" wide strips of white cedar for my boat, but also have some boards 1.25" thick that would make great strips for the hull in areas where there is minimal bending required.

What is the widest any of you out there have used? The strips will be 1/4" thick to start with, but I will probably run them through my planer to get rid of the saw marks and the end thickness will be right around 3/16".
