: This is a Guillemot. I'm (theoretically at least) making it for my wife. I
: was very careful about following the plans and lining things up, just
: couldn't reconcile the way the bow & stern forms lined up with the
: keel.

I've never heard of that happening to other people (besides you and I).

: How did you stretch the Guillemot. I'm 6' and about 185 lb and don't know if
: I'll be completely comfortable in the Guillemot and still have some
: storage space left. i thought of just spacing the forms a little further
: apart to lengthen the boat. Is that what you did? Did this produce an
: acceptable design?

That's exactly what I did. I also made the cockpit-area forms a bit taller to accommodate my big feet, and give me a bit more storage immediately aft of the cockpit.

I'm 6'-6", 185--so there! I'll let you know how well the design works at 18' as soon as I get it in the water in 2 weeks or so. Kent LeBoutillier stretched a Guillemot, and had it in the water for the first time this past weekend--he said he loves it.
