yes,dirt cheap,as in cheaper than wholesale for a comparable paddle. I'm not an expert at carbon composite construction but they appeared cosmetically equal to Werners. The shaft did not appear as ultra light as some carbon shafts but I've heard of Werners snapping in rolling lessons. Personally I'd rather go for light and adequately sturdy than light and "be careful!" Talked to the owners, pleasant,intelligent folks. Flex was not an issue, as in I remember putting the blade on my shoe and bending in and not being concerned one way or the other.
