Hey Pete, I know paddling a kayak on flat water in a gentle breeze doesn't tell as much for other conditions but I've paddled a few kayaks and for what I could find out in sprinting,coasting/leaning,sweep/leaning, and braces gave me some sense of its handling. Sweet is a subjective term that comes to mind. Objectively (?) speaking the pivot point for turning felt right about the front of my belly, the transition for turning at different angles of leaning was predictable. The whole primary/secondary terms don't mean much to me as they are too subjective but it felt right sitting up and leaning over. The bow wave and stern burble were quiet enough to not notice. The rear deck doesn't rise up in the water as much as I thought it would looking at it on shore, for some reason lyrical is the term that comes to mind in describing the deck curves.
