: So I ordered my Merganser plans a few weeks back and they came in good time.
: NO problem there.

: Then I place a $250 order from Raka for glass and epoxy, etc. and they manage
: to mess my address up and the package gets returned to them in Florida
: since it goes to a wrong address that won't accept the box. Finally got it
: last Friday I think. Bunch of glass and tape and 3 gallon epoxy kit that
: will hopefully last through 2 S&Gs.

: Now I also ordered wood from Noahs at the same time as the Raka order.
: Supposed to arrive last wednesday. Didn't see anything as of yesterday -
: call them and it seems the delivery service wasn't able to leave it or
: whatever and didn't leave a note and also apparently had my wrong phone
: number to try and find me. In fact, Noahs also wrote down the wrong
: number.

: Aiigh!!!! Lets say my SO is getting a bit miffed by all this and is
: considering a plastic tupperware boat now. Just kidding on that but she
: has been bummed not to be building with all these crappy April showers
: that just keep happening. We still haven't gotten the wood although its
: being tracked down. Hope to get the panels marked and cut by the weekend
: so that perhaps we can be stitching the hull by Easter.

: Have fun building and let me know if anybody has a similar building material
: delivery problem so I can feel a bit better atleast.

: Pete Czerpak albany, NY

: PS. Hope all the problems are not a sign.....

Hey Pete :)

Just so's you know, you don't have a monopoly on Bad Karma out NY way. I have been trying to work on a couple of boats since around January. I need to build a shed out back to clean out the garage and get started. Every time I start rolling on the project, it starts raining, and all of this rain is totally out of season. After waiting since January to pour the concrete foundation, we got it in last monday and it started to rain on Weds.(fortunately after enough curing time)and now it is sunny, but, we are working more O.T. at work. I have had materials for a conoe(s&g) and a Great Auk for months, but no place to build. Now, that's frustrating. I read and listen to all the fun going on, and have to deal with mother nature and patiently sit and wait.

Yes, I believe it is a sign, as in all my waiting, I have had the time to do some things for the Church and my singles class that I would probably not have been inclined to do, with MY project list. So, maybe................

Just thought I'd let you know, you're not alone.......

My materials actually came in record time, from RAKA, and here they sit......
