Hi John,

If you're using a tablesaw to trim the bead off, you could use a 1-2' strip as part of a temporary fence. Then slide the strip you're trimming with its cove against the bead of the fence strip. You might want to raise the fence strip off the surface of the tablesaw by 1/64" or 1/32" so that the cove strip doesn't bind against the tablesaw surface.

: I have a good pile of 3/4" x 3/16" bead and cove strips which I
: purchased, but I did not order enough benders (1/2" or 5/8" x
: 3/16"). I would like to take the bead off a few of these for making
: narrower sheer strips that will bend more easily than the full 3/4"
: ones. I don't want to damage the cove of the strips while I am taking off
: the bead. Anyone have a suggestion?

: John
