Hi Jim & Hank;

The thin ones turned out to be 1/32" thick, just about perfect. Also in thinking about it, I might be high on my estimate of a couple hundred per kayak - I doubt if I have more than 100 dots of hot glue on mine. Most of those were put on when I flipped the hull, just to keep things hanging together when the strongback came off.

Here's a small hint to hopefully make it easier for you when you start your stripper deck: When you install the first strips on either side of the sheer, anchor them firmly with pseudo-permanent (they'll remain in place while you finish stripping the deck) duct tape, about 4" long pieces spaced lengthwise every 18" or so. Otherwise with hot glue alone, the strips will just keep popping out every 1/2 day or so, and it's very important to keep the hull and deck matched up!

Best Regards, Spidey
