I read a while ago in a sk mag issue about "Okeefenokee" & they did mentioned in the aricle there was never any incident there & therefore there is a higher chance of getting killed on a traffic accident on the way there, than by a gator.

I also heard few stories about gators jumping out of the water to catch their pray. It's all understood. we are all aware of the gators hunting behavior, what I don't understand is why don't they attack kayakers ?

I heard somewhere that an alligator will attack anything he believes is weaker than him. I would like to know then, why does a gator thinks he is not strong enough to get a kayak ? while actually he is ! when I get that answer I could control this parameter to increase my safety.

It's pretty much like the golfer case. the gator never ever did anything, until he did !!

there are many gators out there & I'm sure quite a few of them are not "familiar enough" with "gators behavior", they never heard that alligators don't attack kayakers, so they MIGHT.

In other words, we all know that alligators don't attack kayakers but does the alligators know it ?
