I guess similar to that deck fittings post but not recessed, and the chicago screw is easier as it is closed on the bottom, aluminum and available from most office supply stores. Get 1/4 in long, mount from below, and either sand flush or drill smaller hole from top and slighly larger from below to just under the surface??(prob too difficult)
