flush hatches with composite gasket lip

Check out the link below to see how I approach construction of composite gaskets. The mold release between the deck and the fiberglass rim is a clear selfstick shelving plastic . The gasket mold is made of closed cell self stick rubber weather stripping that is about HALF the thickness of the final gasket. This alows the hatch gasket to compres and retain its 'shape memory'. No messing with PVA or waxes here. The mold gasket is just scraped out of the groove when the layup sets the next day. I hope the pictures help.
