You may want to take a look at this web site: www.qsl.net/wa1urb/1.html Look in his "My Building Pages" He gives a detailed description on how to build a simple, affordable kayak that is addaptable to many different sizes. He is also very generous in his knowledge and will answer emails with good advice. You could probably build the kayaks by reading these pages alone. The boats are also very stable, for first time builders. You could easily adapt it for a double also. Good Luck.
