Hi Tim,

Good suggestion for a quick solution.

My Dad showed me about scraping with glass as well. Won't remove wood as agressively as a knife or a cabinet scraper then that can be a good thing.

Glass scrapers work well - you just have to keep changing the piece as it dulls. The 90 degree edge [typically] is quite strong and helps control the shaving [don't use pieces with cracks which could break in you hands when you apply pressure - saftey glasses & leather gloves are a good idea].

Glass may shed small fragments so use a light to check for "reflections" before running a bare hand over the surface.

Thanks for the "flash back" Tim, it has been a long time since I scraped with glass.
