Flaking Epoxy?!

I finished epoxying the final butt joint of my Osprey Std earlier this week. The first three sides came out well, but when I removed the mylar on this last one the epoxy seemed to stick to the mylar and after another couple days I took a closer look and the glass is flaking off above the fiberglass tape and around the edges of the wood strips the tape doesn't seem to be sticking to the wood very well.

What do I do? I'm worried that if I just sand off the flaking the tape is going to lift up off the wood (it's a very small area, 1/8" max, on the edge of the wood strip that's lifted) eventually. Any suggestions on how I should proceed and what causes this (so I can try to avoid it in the future) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Brion
