Lee: you are indeed a fountain of information. Having lived in Northern California for about 18 years I'm very familiar with the places you've mentioned, even though I've only been kayaking for about 6 months. But if you work for CLC, I'm assuming you live on the East Coast, and I must give you my kudos for being so very knowledgeable about my home turf (surf?).

Haven't joined BASK yet, but it's inevitable. I belong to so many damn organizations now I need a second job to pay all my membership dues.
