I found a very frugal homemade clamp. Take some PVC pipe (various sizes) and cut it into 1", 2", 3" pieces then take a notch out to it. The size of the notch determines the spring/tension. You would be very surprised at how many clamps you can make with a 6 foot PVC pipe. I think I have about 200 of these types of clamps.
