Proven to absorb water as you stated in your earlier post. The rubberized spray coatings are also proven. There are many trucks out there with the stuff, including mine. The stuff is real tough. It doesn't gouge when draging thinks across it so sand won't hurt it, and water doesn't bother it either. I've never heard of a hot day making the stuff gummy (good luck finding a 110 degree day in Seattle), but I'm sure I would have heard of it happening since there are trucks all over this country with canopies on and the stuff sprayed in the back.

I don't know of any reason that it shouldn't adhere as long as the epoxy is scuffed up.
