Yes Mick, I used your idea and it is definitely simple to align forms. I did use the strings-bullseye method also and that worked great too. I left the strings in place during hull stripping to double check alignment as I was stripping. I set the end forms on the alum beam that I tapered to fit the end form. I used alum. angle iron on the top of the beam to hold the form in line. The angle iron was drilled and tapped for set screws for fine adjustment of end form. I used Ted Moores string line method to to align end forms and doubled checked with a laser level. I dont have a way of scanning pics but I can snail mail you some. I always get double prints made.
