Also remember that if you follow Nick's method "by the book", you will align the forms rightside up and then flip the assembly over to begin stripping the hull. You don't want the boxbeam to flex the other direction once inverted. I used 1/2" plywood to construct the beam, and in hindsight I should have gone with 3/4". I ended up with a boxbeam that was a little too flexible, so I aligned the forms inverted to begin with so I could strip the hull without disturbing the forms. By the time the hull was stripped, everything was rigid enough to rotate without any flexing.
