No, I'd never rush it at the risk of weakening the integrity of the workmanship. Nothing worse than immediate satisfaction at the cost of quality...and then you forever have to squirm at all those damned mistakes...

Naaaahhh, just perfectionistic and thats admirable.And it served a real function in the completion of your project. Ive always seen retentive behavior as a fixation on micro managing the most inane tasks beyond any practical reasoning. Like stacking wood shavings!
