Hi Kent, I'm starting the exact same project! I'm 6'-6", so I'm stretching it to 18', and adding a bit of height in the deck area to fit my big legs and feet. I think adding the foot will stiffen up the tracking a bit, but still leave it easily maneuverable.

I just have the forms cut and am building the strongback, so no other relevant commentary at this point. :)
