Leroy,

I just finished my Guillemot and have been considering making another one 18'. I think my first strip broke as well. But, I didn't get fustrated at just one strip. You will surely have some other fustrations along the way. Don't let that stop you! After the first one broke I picked another one right up and clamped it in place on just about every form before stapling. If you really have a tuff time screws can be used as well, just put a piece of scrap on top of your strip so the head seats in the scrap not the strip. DON'T GET DISCOURAGED!! You won't be sorry in the end!
