Sorry !

My thought process took me into a capsized boat and a flooded cockpit, and if the rope/line was leading from the cockpit into the watertight section, then, so too would the water go into that section, through the same path as the rope/line. ( different picture in my mind, postal employee mentality, too much negativity ) {:o)
