i know I'm not Nick, just thinking if you are one of those big people, 300# 6'6"+ you might check out Necky's Pinta just to get an idea of what an appropriate sized kayak for a big person is. This is all off the top of my head but if you are simply a big person, but not particularly tall for your weight then scaling a skinny boat longer might not be a good idea. I'm just thinking of the lever that a 22ft boat in rough water places against arms that aren't similarly scaled(22'x26" sounds appropriate for a 350# 7'+person with muscle) Would it make more sense to make a 18or19ft boat that would carry its volume more through its length? Check out the Wilderness Systems Echo for the prop ortions I'm thinking of. It's a very nicely proportioned double for day paddling or light people camping. What about the great Auk boat stretched a little?
